Eight stately brick mansions define Colonels Row. These former officer’s homes once lined the edge of the Island overlooking the Harbor. Today, over 100 years after the Island was doubled in size using landfill from the construction of the Lexington Avenue subway, these homes look out from a five-foot rise onto a lush two-acre triangular green and are framed by allees of mature London Plane trees.
